I had the pleasure and privilege of shooting the morning of Changecamp Ottawa 2009. It’s an ‘unconference’ that brings together people from all walks of life – technologists, designers, academics, bureaucrats, politicos, and citizens to figure out how to “re-imagine government and citizenship in an age of participation.”

The agenda was set by the participants during the morning. I had a chance to listen in on some of the groups – interesting discussion and great ideas all around the room. Check out their wiki for more, or search the twitter hashtag: #cco09.

as many of you are no doubt aware, a fire has been tearing through southern Australia. I used to live in Canberra, which is not far from Victoria where the fires were, and still have some family there. But you don’t have to have any connection to some place to know how tragic the entire thing is.

and yet, even amidst all of the tragedy and loss of life, small miracles, like this story about a fireman, a koala, and her new friend, still manage to happen.
