Julia and Joe are a couple living in Montreal, and getting married in Ottawa later this year. I met up with them at the Rideau Canal this past sunday on what was supposed to be a typical, cold, overcast Ottawa winter day, but instead turned out to be a nearly perfect winter afternoon. The clouds broke at the perfect time to get some delicious golden hour light, and it warmed up the shoot big time.
We set out for a short skate down the canal towards downtown. On our way to Oh so Good (home of the best deserts in town!), we took a walk through what was left of Winterlude. A lot of the ice sculptures were starting to melt away, but we managed to find the cutest one.
Here are my favorites from the shoot – Julia and Joe were naturals. They have a lot of fun together and don’t mind showing off how much they enjoy being with each other.
