Among wedding photographers, it’s called a ‘first look’ – when couples decide to ignore one of the oldest traditions of weddings and decide to see each other and spend a few intimate moments alone before the ceremony. It’s not for everyone, but it was for Lindsay and Trevor.
So, I spent a bit of the morning with Trevor and the guys as they were putting together their finishing touches. It had just started raining when I got there, and it followed me to the Crowne Plaza where I met up with Lindsay and the girls. When the time finally came for their first look, the garden terrace was a bit too damp and the rain had picked up so we settled on an empty hallway leading outside.
Not a terribly romantic spot you say? It didn’t matter.
When Lindsay and Trevor finally turned and saw one other, all that mattered right then and in the short moments after was that they were together. And if spending time with each other for a while before the ceremony took anything away from Trevor watching Lindsay walk down the aisle with her dad, or from Lindsay seeing Trevor waiting for her at the end of it, you’d never know.
Since we’d gotten a lot of the photos done before the ceremony, Lindsay and Trevor were free to spend the rest of their night sharing in the laughter and love of their friends and family.
Here are a few faves from the day (and their engagement shoot here if you missed it) – Congratulations again Lindsay and Trevor!
