Jen + Olavs . married!

How cool is this? In 2009 I photographed Leanne & Scott’s wedding; in 2010 I photographed Leigh & Shawn’s wedding; and now, in 2011, I got to be a part of Jen & Olavs’, who were at both. I can’t even say how sincerely flattered and fortunate I feel to have taken part in these friends occasions three years in a row. And if I had given any thought at all to getting photos of myself at weddings, I totally would’ve taken a picture with the 6 of them! (maybe next year?)

But enough about me…

From where I was standing, Jen simply couldn’t wait to say ‘I do’

Jen and Olavs were married on a bright, beautiful (and hot!) summer day on a hill in front of the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. I started the day off at Jen’s parents’ place for the preparation, then off to the museum for the ceremony. We went over to the Rockcliffe Park Pavilion for photos, then back to the Museum – home to one of the most unique wedding reception venues anywhere! Dinner, dancing, and some beautiful speeches were had in front of the backdrop of Canadian aircraft, past and present. It’d be all to easy to make a pun about love soaring to new heights or something about wind beneath their wings, but maybe I’ll just leave that one up in the air.

Here are a few faves from the day, a few more on my facebook page, and their engagement shoot here in case you missed it. Congrats again Jen & Olavs – thanks for an amazing day!

Meagan + Ryan . married!

Meagan and Ryan were married on a hot summer evening at St. Michael’s. I started the day with Ryan and the guys, for a preparatory game of euchre, then off to the Mahogany Salon and Spa in Carleton Place to spend some time with Meagan and the girls while they were getting ready. After the ceremony, we spent a bit of time downtown near Major’s Hill Park, then quickly off to Lago for the evening.

Here are a few faves from the day, a few more on my facebook page, and their engagement shoot here in case you missed it. Congrats again Meagan and Ryan!

Christine + Alex . married!

“Okay, now I’m getting excited”

When I met up with Christine, she was literally shaking with nervousness. But the closer she got to seeing Alex, the more the nervousness turned into excitement.

Christine and Alex were married on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon at Orchardview. I spent some time with Christine and the girls while they were getting ready, and then down to meet Alex and the guys just before the ceremony under the gazebo got underway. We walked around the grounds for photos as guests enjoyed cocktails under the tent, and then inside for dinner and dance, including some wonderful speeches, and a few choice words of… advice;)

Here are a few faves from the day, a handful more on my facebook page, and their engagement shoot here if you missed it.

Congrats again Christine and Alex, and thanks for a great day!

Michelle + Kevin . engaged!

I met up with Kevin and Michelle at Rockcliffe Park on a beautiful, sunny (and hot!) sunday for their engagement shoot. We didn’t go very far, but even small areas of the park have so much to offer. Thanks for a great shoot guys! Here are a few faves, and a handful more on my facebook page.
